At the "G7 delle Avvocature", an international meeting between representatives of the Bars and Law Societies of the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, and Italy, hosted for the 2024 edition in Rome, whose proceedings are scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, Giovanni Comandé, Full Professor of Comparative Private Law and Coordinator of the Lider-Lab of the Sant'Anna School, has been invited to participate.

The 2024 edition of the "G7 delle Avvocature", promoted by the Consiglio Nazionale Forense - the italian apex institutional body of the legal profession and representing the entire legal class - is dedicated to exploring the theme "Artificial Intelligence and Democratic Values. Ethics, technological innovation and the protection of personal rights," and sees its proceedings begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the Aula Magna of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

Giovanni Comandé gives a keynote speech on "Artificial Intelligence, Democratic Freedoms, Technological and Economic Sovereignty," during the first session, introduced by Francesco Greco, President of the Italian National Forensic Council, and moderated by Andrea Pancani, deputy director of Tg La7, which features Alfredo Mantovano, State Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers; Father Paolo Benanti, theologian, Professor Extraordinary of the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Gregorian University and Chairman of the AI Commission for Information of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Member of the Committee on AI of the UN; Lucilla Gatt, Professor Ordinary of Private Law and Civil Law at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples.

The G7 of Lawyers continues in the afternoon of Thursday, April 16, in the session that features, among speakers, Alessio Butti, State Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and is concluded by the lectio magistralis of Guido Alpa, Professor Emeritus of Civil Law at Sapienza University in Rome.
